Characteristics of Sugar Alcohol
Sugar alcohols are polyhydroxy compounds, which are the first products of photosynthesis. It is widely used in the pharmaceutical and food industries due to its nutritional and healthcare functions and good metal complexing ability. At the same time, sugar alcohols are not sugar but have certain sugar properties. Currently developed varieties of sorbitol, xylitol, maltitol, mannitol, erythritol, lactitol, and so on.
