The Structure of Polyporus Versicolor Beta-Glucan

Polyporus versicolor is a well-known medicinal mushroom. The fruiting body and mycelium of polyporus versicolor produce polyporus versicolor polysaccharides. The exopolysaccharides extracted from the fermentation broth are glucan without peptides, β (1→3) is the main chain, there are branches bound by β (1→3) or β (1→6), polysaccharide content 30% ~ 60%, protein content 10%~30%. The monosaccharide composition of polyporus versicolor beta-glucan is mainly glucose, followed by mannose, a small amount of galactose, xylose, and fucose. polyporus versicolor beta-glucan has antioxidant, anti-aging, antiviral, anti-tumor, enhanced immunity, and other activities. It has broad application prospects in functional food and medicine.
