Functions of α-Glucosidases

α -Glucosidase (AGases; EC.3.2.1.20), the AGases belong to glycoside hydrolase (GH) families 13 and 31, and the system was named α -D-glucoside glucose hydrolase. It has the dual roles of hydrolysis and trans glycoside in the catalytic reaction. Hydrolysis cuts the α -1-4 glycosidic bond from the non-reducing ends of α -glucoside, oligosaccharide, and glucan, which transfers the free glucose residues at α -1,6 to another glucose or maltose substrate, resulting in the non-fermentation oligomeric isomaltose (IMO). Under high substrate concentrations, the enzyme also catalyzes transglucosylation, synthesizing oligosaccharides. In the metabolism, α -Portuguese glycosidase catalyzes α -1-4 glycosidic bond hydrolysis and makes maltose and sucrose. At the same time inhibits α -Portuguese glycosidase activity, makes the formation of glucose and absorption, reduces postprandial blood glycan, and adjusts the blood glycan level, in regulating glycan metabolism while also regulating lipogenesis.

α-Glucosidases Treatment Services at CD BioGlyco

Starch is the basic abundant source of carbohydrates for living organisms, and α-glucoside active enzymes are ubiquitous. CD BioGlyco uses the full enzyme process and jet liquefaction technology to strictly control the process conditions of continuous jet liquefaction both to achieve all destinations and control the hydrolysis degree of starch (low dextrose equivalent (DE) value). AGases catalyze transglycosylation and are utilized as biocatalysts for the production of oligosaccharides and glucosides. CD BioGlyco provides you with purification separation in high-efficiency, low-consumption, high-yield models, and we offer structural characterization service, too. The purity of our products is much higher than the traditional extraction method.

Applications

  • The α-glucosidase modifications are suitable for the screening of active natural drugs because of their unique physiological functions.
  • Combined with other enzymes to make a detection platform, it quickly and efficiently detects maltose.
  • α-Glucosidases regulate transglucosylation, which is used for the production of oligosaccharides of industrial value.

Advantages

  • We have high-purity IMO (≥90%), and the traditional extraction method is only 50%~60%.
  • Products are tested at any time to ensure the quality.
