The Condensation Reaction of Starch

The microstructure of starch is a macromolecular ring structure composed of glucose groups. Starch with -OH group in its structure can react with many interesting chemical reagents to obtain a series of starch derivatives. Starch and starch derivatives have attracted the attention of researchers because of their special structure, a wide range of sources, renewable and biocompatibility, and green environmental protection. In the preparation method of starch derivatives, the condensing reaction is a Chemical Modification method with high efficiency and a simple preparation process. The condensing reaction of starch is a chemical reaction that changes the microstructure of starch by reacting the coupling agent with the hydroxyl functional group of starch after condensation and curing under the right conditions.
