GCC is an effective technique for the purification and separation of different types of biopolysaccharides. By selecting a suitable gel column and buffer system, precise separation of biopolysaccharides in the solution can be performed based on the molecular weight, branching structure, or other characteristics of the biopolysaccharides. In addition, GCC can be used to remove reactants or impurities from the sample to further improve the purity and quality of polysaccharides. GCC features the advantages of good selectivity, easy operation, and excellent separation effect, and applies to the purification of various types of biopolysaccharides, such as polysaccharide drugs, natural polysaccharides, and so on. It provides researchers with a reliable means for obtaining biopolysaccharide samples with high purity and good activity, a powerful tool for biopolysaccharide purification, and an important basis for in-depth research and application of biopolysaccharides. It helps researchers obtain high-purity biopolysaccharide samples, thus promoting the development of the field of glycobiology.

GCC is extensively utilized in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, and pharmaceuticals. GCC allows obtaining high-purity samples from complex mixtures for further study of their structure and function. CD BioGlyco is a company specializing in Polysaccharide Manufacturing, especially Starch Manufacturing and Glucan Manufacturing. We also provide professional GCC-based Polysaccharide Purification Services to help clients accelerate their research process in glycobiology.
First, we select the proper gel material and choose the appropriate pore size according to the size of the target molecule. Pre-equilibrate the gel column and buffer to ensure that the pores inside the gel column are fully saturated and air bubbles are removed. Then the polysaccharide sample is dissolved to be purified in the appropriate buffer and slowly added to the top of the gel column. We use a buffer to elute the column, adjusting the buffer composition and flow rate as needed. After that, we collect different separated fractions depending on the separation effect and retention time. The absorbance or fluorescence emission is monitored in real time using a chromatographic detector to determine the location of the target fraction. Finally, we detect the structure by using analytical instruments such as mass spectrometry, the purified target components are concentrated and dried to obtain a pure target product.
